The vessels are multi-purpose, shallow-draft symmetrically hulled catamarans. The high buoyancy reserves of the forward sections offer excellent sea-keeping capabilities, particularly in a following sea. Twin Scania 750hp engines and water-jet propulsion provide excellent manoeuvrability, good performance (22kn) and low fuel consumption (200l/hr). The aft superstructure suits construction and O&M roles, with a large forward working deck and crane for self-loading from quayside, with all cargo secured forward for easy transfer to transition pieces. 1.5 significant wave transfer capability, ideal for inshore sites.
